Essential Guide to Mentoring

Technical support for the Intensive Certification Programme

Developed as the fundamental technical support for the Intensive Certification Programme, this functional guide is designed for professionals from many disciplines who require rigorous, precise, action-oriented training.

At more than 100 pages, the work summarises the theoretical and technical ecosystem essential to professional practice. It is currently regarded as one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date treatises in Spanish and Portuguese, and has become an unavoidable reference in Ibero-America.

Guide to the Disciplines

A structured, critical map of human accompaniment

This book grew out of a conviction shared by the Academy of the Global Mentoring Network (RGM): support for human development cannot remain a confusing territory, full of overlaps, improper appropriations or good intentions without foundation.

Here we do not propose a single recipe or an absolute truth. What we offer is a structured, critical map that runs through the main disciplines that today take on the role of accompanying processes of growth, healing, learning and evolution: mentoring, coaching, psychotherapy, counselling, transformative teaching, facilitation, spiritual accompaniment and others.

Professional Manual for Mentoring Practice

From intuition to professional practice

This book does not present mentoring as a practice based only on intuition or personal experience, but as a professional discipline that can be practised with structure, ethics and verifiable criteria.

The true professionalisation of the mentor is not achieved simply by knowing a great deal or by having accompanied many people, but through the ability to define processes, hold boundaries, pass on judgement without replacing the other person's, record practice and subject it to supervision.

The work translates theory into concrete practice: it shows how to practise mentoring seriously, responsibly and in a way that can be certified, and helps the reader move from empirical accompaniment to professional practice. It is not just a book for understanding mentoring, but for learning to practise it with clarity, coherence and professional standards.

Master Guide to Mentoring

A guide that accompanies a high-level training pathway, structured in three levels of analytical depth:

  • Level III: Praxis and Standards. Supervised professional practice, aligned with ethical competences and frameworks of global excellence.

Mentoring in Action (Mentoría en Acción)

Guides for action: the functional triad of conscious mentoring

In the professional practice of human accompaniment, good intentions and an accumulation of tools are not enough. What distinguishes a professional mentor, coach, adviser or consultant is the judgement with which they decide how, when and from which role to intervene.

The Mentoría en Acción series was created to meet that need. It is not a collection of techniques or a recipe manual: it is a training architecture designed to accompany the real maturing of the accompaniment professional.

This triad of guides offers a complete, coherent and demanding journey that links judgement, action and reflection, three inseparable dimensions of conscious practice.

Mentoring as a Human Path (La Mentoría como Camino Humano)

Foundation, passage and practice of conscious mentoring

This triad of Mentoring Guides forms a coherent, foundational body of reading, designed to understand mentoring in its true nature, without confusing it with or diluting it among other disciplines of human accompaniment.

Across its three volumes, the work prepares the reader to understand what mentoring is before trying to practise it, placing it not as a professional technique but as a conscious human experience that comes before any role, certification or method.

It is the central reading base of the Intermediate Mentoring Programme, conceived as a solid, cross-cutting and scalable conceptual architecture, able to provide a foundation for future training, specialisations and new thematic triads.

  • Volume 01 · The origin: the path that begins.
  • Volume 02 · The thresholds: the path that is crossed.
  • Volume 03 · The discipline: the path that is learned in practice.

Our vision

The RGM does not compete in the publishing market; it reorders it ethically.

Editorial RGM is a protected space for the gestation of legacy, a place where the word is not produced but accompanied, and where the book is a consequence, not a starting point.

A. Conceptual framework: writing in the RGM, a two-level process

The Global Mentoring Network clearly distinguishes between the process of accompaniment for creating a work and the editorial services needed to publish it.

Both are important, but they are not the same thing and do not happen at the same time.

B. RGM Model of Writing and Publishing

Table of the RGM Model of Writing and Publishing: four levels (accompaniment for creating the work, editorial services with an existing manuscript, drafting or ghostwriting, publication and promotion) setting out what each consists of, what it looks after and what it does not do

C. The RGM's explicit position

The RGM places its publishing project mainly in accompanying the author during the process of creating the work. We believe that writing a book is, above all, an act of awareness and of responsibility towards one's own legacy.

Editorial services are a later stage, necessary and valuable, but secondary to the human process of writing.

Likewise, the RGM considers it essential that there be a genuine desire to share, and not an external obligation. Imposed writing directly affects the quality, authenticity and life of the work.

To turn mentoring into a written and shared culture, in which every publication is a legacy of knowledge, wisdom and practice for future generations of mentors.
