Definitions of Mentoring
Mentoring is a professional discipline aimed at strengthening individuals’ autonomous discernment in moments of decision and increasing responsibility.
Mentoring is a generative–projective discipline whose object is the mentee’s strategic discernment in contexts of growing responsibility; whose purpose is the development of sound judgement, responsible autonomy and conscious decision-making capacity; and whose ethical boundaries prevent substitution, covert direction and the encroachment upon other disciplinary domains.
Mentoring is a professional process of accompaniment that helps individuals think with greater clarity, assess their decisions with stronger judgement and assume responsibility for the path they choose, without the mentor deciding on their behalf.

The RGM Professional Mentor is a trained and ethically committed practitioner who, from experience reflected upon and converted into transferable judgement, serves the mentee’s discernment while safeguarding the process without substituting decisions, directing the path, or encroaching upon other disciplinary domains.
