Mentoring certifications

3 levels that rank your knowledge and experience in mentoring.

These certifications are an international institutional recognition issued by Academia Global RGM. Their scope is private and corporate. They do not replace licences, registrations, professional-body memberships, permits, qualifications or requirements imposed by the competent authorities in each jurisdiction.

Three levels

CTM certification – Trainee MentorCTM

Trainee Mentor

To enter the certification process, applicants must first have completed one of the training programmes endorsed by Academia Global RGM, such as:

  • Comprehensive Mentoring Programme, delivered in partnership with Universities certified by Academia Global RGM.

Only after completing this training stage will it be possible to begin the process, in which the applicant's conceptual understanding of mentoring as a discipline will be assessed, along with its foundations, limits and differences from other forms of support.

CPM certification – Professional MentorCPM

Professional Mentor

To enter the certification process, applicants must first have completed one of the training programmes endorsed by Academia Global RGM, such as:

  • Comprehensive Mentoring Programme, delivered in partnership with Universities certified by Academia Global RGM.
  • Intermediate Mentoring Programme, developed by Training Centres certified by Academia Global RGM.
  • Intensive Mentoring Programme, available on the official e-Learning platform of Academia Global RGM.

Only after completing this training stage will it be possible to begin the process, in which the applicant's ability to practise mentoring in session will be assessed, with sound judgement, clarity of role and professional responsibility.

XPM certification – Expert MentorXPM

Expert Mentor

To enter the certification process, applicants must first have completed one of the training programmes endorsed by Academia Global RGM, such as:

  • Comprehensive Mentoring Programme, delivered in partnership with Universities certified by Academia Global RGM.
  • Intermediate Mentoring Programme, developed by Training Centres certified by Academia Global RGM.
  • Intensive Mentoring Programme, available on the official e-Learning platform of Academia Global RGM.

Only after completing this training stage will it be possible to begin the process, in which the applicant's ability to turn experience into structured wisdom that can be applied and passed on to others will be assessed.

Niche certifications

Stand out with certification in your speciality

To obtain a niche certification, the following conditions apply:

  • Be certified as an “Expert Mentor – Level 03”.
  • Have completed official mentoring training through a Training Centre endorsed by Academia Global RGM or through the Academia Global RGM e-Learning Platform.
  • Have taken part in two virtual meetings with a professional appointed by the Academy: an introductory meeting and a closing meeting for final validation.
  • Formally accept the Code of Ethics of the RGM Community.
  • Prepare and present your Value Proposition / Value Map as a mentor in the speciality.

Institutional clarity and scope

What a certification does and does not attest

Institutional nature

The Global Mentoring Network (RGM) is a private organisation with an international scope and its own institutional, doctrinal and operational framework. Its training, assessment and certification processes follow defined internal standards, designed to ensure methodological coherence, professional rigour and ethical alignment within its ecosystem.

Scope of the certification

The Expert Professional Mentor certification attests that the certified person has met the RGM's internal standards for professional performance, ethical maturity, methodological command and the ability to lead mentoring processes. It forms part of the Network's own training and assessment system.

What this certification attests

  • Designing, leading and evaluating mentoring processes.
  • Supporting human and professional development processes.
  • Working in training, organisational and personal-growth contexts compatible with the discipline of mentoring.

Its validity is limited to the institutional and methodological framework of the Global Mentoring Network.

What this certification does not attest

On its own, it does not constitute:

  • A public licence to practise a regulated profession.
  • Professional registration, membership of a professional body, or official qualification.
  • Clinical competence or health-sector authorisation.
  • Authorisation to carry out acts reserved to professions regulated by law.
  • An automatic right to use protected professional titles in specific jurisdictions.

Relationship with local regulations

The RGM has an international doctrinal framework and is not subject to the regulations of any single country. Nevertheless, every certified person is responsible for complying with the laws, regulations, permits, restrictions and professional titles in force in the jurisdiction where they practise.

Traceability and verification

The institutional validity of each certification depends on its registration in the RGM's official systems, the existence of a unique issue code, the integrity of the document issued and its continued presence in the Network's traceability and verification system. Official verification can be carried out through the authorised institutional channels.
